About Me

After completing my undergraduate degree in biology from Emory University, I began my career in education at The Out-of-Door academy, an independent college-prep school, where I created and taught a three semester track of Virtual Reality (VR) Game Design & Development courses. I also established the school’s maker space to teach practical engineering skills to the students. I then began to work at The University of Florida’s College of Education where I develop online courses to teach educators how to teach computer science, often leveraging games and innovative technologies to strengthen their skills.

Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in VR game design/production via The University of Florida’s Master’s in Digital Arts and Sciences Program. This program has taught me how to push XR technology to its limits in order to create the best possible emotional experience for players. My peers named me project lead on each of the three games we have worked on, and together we have built multiplayer simulations, and even an educational game to display at The Florida Museum of Natural History.

I have experience in game design, production, education, computer science, and have consulted for various companies who wanted to create educational game experiences. If you would like to contact me, I can be reached via my website, twitter, or LinkedIn.
